If you look through your grandmother’s jewellery box or your mother’s jewellery box, you will find a gold diamond ring amongst their other jewellery items. In the olden times, gold was a treasured commodity. The same applies today. Gold is liquid. This means that in an emergency, you can sell any gold item and more or less get its worth back unlike other metals.
Also, in many cultures, gold is revered more than other metals. The Indians and Chinese especially, place a huge emphasis on gold jewellery. Brides from these countries normally will have a gold diamond ring compared to their western counterparts who believe that platinum or white gold matches the brilliance of the white diamond.
There is no doubt that a gold diamond ring has its own merit and elegance. The gold and the white has a lovely contrast. Some women believe that the diamond actually stands out more in a gold diamond ring than a white/platinum diamond ring. Gold is also a commodity. In times of need, the gold is also of some value compared to other metals.
A gold diamond ring is a huge advantage to someone who already has a collection of other gold jewellery. It will be easy to match the jewellery without much problem.
